AFCO Privacy Statement

(Collectively "AFCO")

We take the issue of privacy very seriously. We want to assure users of our website of the security, privacy and confidentiality that they expect from a premier financial services institution. As technology evolves, we will continue to look for better ways to gather and use information in order to offer products and services that best meet your needs and to protect and safeguard information about you and your accounts.

Information Collected

We do not collect any personal information from anyone who is merely visiting this website other than requesting the user ID and password to access the site. Personal information may be requested if a user requests a password be reset.

Account Inquiry Access

We offer online account inquiry access and only collect personal information necessary to provide data requested by the visitor (for example, account balances).

AFCO requires a user ID and password for the protection of the user. AFCO utilizes security and encryption technology that is consistent with industry best practices. Emails sent to AFCO over the Internet from a source other than the AFCO website may not be secure and, since the security is out of AFCO's control, AFCO cannot be responsible for their security.

To protect the confidentiality of the information submitted via this website, we use secure socket layer (SSL) technology. SSL technology establishes a "secure" Internet session and encodes the data submitted to the website, ensuring that the information is accessible only to an authorized representative and the customer. A customer can tell whether a document comes from a secure server by looking at the location (URL) field. If the URL begins with https:// (instead of http://), the document comes from a secure server.

Email and Product Inquiry

Through use of an email link, we invite users of this website to send email messages to AFCO customer service so that service representatives may respond to inquiries regarding AFCO or its products or services. AFCO retains copies of these email messages. The information provided by a user will only be used to respond to the user and to provide better customer service.

Use of Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of information about an Internet session that may be created when a user accesses a website. Presently, we use session cookies, which are temporary cookies that are deleted from your computer when you close your browser, to facilitate easier navigation within the website and provide a higher level of convenience for the user.

Use of Information Collected

Information collected from users of this website is used to address the specific needs of those users and to provide better customer service. The information collected also is used to provide a record of communications between AFCO and its website users and to comply with any applicable legal and/or regulatory requirements.

Access to Information Collected

Our associates have limited access to customer information based on their responsibilities. Certain AFCO service associates will be provided with a user's information in order to respond to that user's needs. This access enables them to assist you in resolving any service issues that may arise. Our associates are instructed to use strict standards of care in handling all customer information. AFCO associates who do not conform to the AFCO confidentiality rules are subject to disciplinary sanctions that may include dismissal.

AFCO Affiliates/AFCO Service Providers

AFCO affiliates, along with non-related service providers that assist us in meeting the needs of our users, may receive personal information collected from a website user. Such information will be disclosed only to respond to the user's needs.

Third Parties

We do not transmit any information collected through our website to any third party marketers. We may offer the opportunity to our website users to link to the webpages of third parties who provide products and services not offered by AFCO. On occasion, laws and regulations may require us to provide information about you and your transactions to government agencies or regulators. In addition, federal and state laws give third parties involved in lawsuits or other legal proceedings the right to obtain records and information from us. We share only the information that we are required or authorized to share.

Third-Party Websites

Access to third-party websites linked to the AFCO website is at the user's discretion. AFCO is not responsible for the reliability of content found in third-party websites that are linked to the AFCO website. Additionally, AFCO is not responsible for third-party websites that collect information on parties who visit their websites through links on the AFCO website.
